My name is Heather.  I'm often referred to as Heather B. around the internet although I can't quite recall why.  I was born in Pittsburgh, PA but raised in Birmingham, AL.  I never held a hockey stick or watched an entire hockey game on TV until I was 20 and never saw a live hockey game until I was 21.  That, of course, makes me a natural to write a hockey blog.  I started dating a Buffalo boy just in time to see the Sabres lose on the No Goal in the 1999 Stanley Cup Finals and while it wasn't the best way to start a love affair with hockey, the Sabres, and Buffalo, it was a start.  I believe in the power of stay-at-home defensemen, an awesome penalty kill, Ryan Miller's death glare, Rick Jeanneret's goal calls, and Lindy Ruff's mustache.  I love writing my little blog so thanks for checking it out.
